Updates with Titch

Been a while since we have done a blog. So, lets catch up on some of the goings on in the world of AHC and the community. First, we have a new addition to the crew in the form of Radbingham. Nice guy fits in well and has some ideas with some stuff he wants to do but with all things in creation they take time and usually involves me having to make something or another. AHC2 may be utilized for these kinds of “side projects” outside of our normal casting streams but details are still being worked out. If you are not currently following ahcommentary2 might want to give it a heart to be safe so you don’t miss anything.

New starting soon is complete and in use and an updated fly in. This is one I myself am pretty stoked about. It was quite the project with a total of 48 hours of rendering to get the video file (that’s not time to create but just exporting the video file). The timing of the camera landing and the song ending was a complete accident I won’t lie. The music is a separate file from the video so it’s not like I could easily time it to do that so I was pretty surprised to see it looked as clean as it did.

THIS IS ROCKET LEAGUE!!! (those that know, know) as a lot of you are familiar, I am a big Rocket League fan (not so much with these MMR resets… thanks a lot Epic games). Paco and myself along with Scuba Steve and Grantastic were in a 3v3 circuit a couple months back and Wolfe picked up casting and covering our games. With our schedules being what they are we were unsure if we would be able to do another one. Steve asked if he could continue with our name and do a 2v2 circuit with Grant. Of course! So, Steve is now the Captain of the AHC RL Team with Grant as a core teammate and myself as a sub. We were too busy to maybe play this season but apparently, we are not busy enough to not cast.

So, the other day after finishing a cast with Wolfe I said “Hey so I got an idea for the RL set.” Fast forward some hours and its 3am eyes are as red as the devil’s d**k and we have created a new set in the studio space. A different feel from our standard set but the idea is much the same. Backdrop, desk, and something we think is really cool behind us. Simple, sleek and you should have heard Wolfe when I rendered the image “OMG DUDE THAT LOOKS SO GOOD” and went on for another minute.

Which brings me back to the starting soon video. It’s out of date. I got it completed and made it out of date in less than a week. Good job me. So, I guess I’ll be redoing that in the near future so that it has the new set. My punishment for my creation is more work. It’s a cruel world.

Onto other things: Quick shoutout to the community. Everyone tuning in and chatting is such a great thing for us to see. We had some technical issues during yesterday’s second stream that made it more of a PowerPoint presentation about ¾ of the way through. Despite the issues people stuck around for the commentary and us. At a glance it might not seem like much but it’s a huge thing. Someone said they had the teams stream up and listened to the AHC stream as their own fix. I love this community we have all built.

Lastly. Wolfe did fix the pinging of the bots tagging everyone. Paco and I were hounding him until it got resolved. The @everyone for every post is no more so you can unmute the server now 😉. Believe me I found it as annoying as everyone else I won’t blame you if you muted the server but its fixed and the tags are only for important or time sensitive things.

With that I will leave you guys. Thanks for reading, thanks for being a great community and thanks for supporting us. You guys rock!
